Zoals jullie allemaal weten, ben ik ERG lui. Dus ik heb geen zin om dit nog allemaal te vertalen. Jullie kunnen we allemaal Engels lezen, non? n___n
Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention please?
I find myself having a quite important announcement to make. Seeing after long and hard studying, blood sweat and tears, I have passed this year. Thank god. I was grounded for two or three months for it.
Anyway, I passed with a rather good set of grades, actually, and we're going on a holiday soon. Too soon, actually.
Yes people, I will be leaving to Iceland in the evening of Friday the 4th of July!
I will be gone for exactly two weeks, and I'll return tired, sweaty and smelly. I like the idea of Iceland, but I don't like the idea of sulfur floating through the air, making everything smell like it. I will return with great enthusiasm, I suppose, and enough cultural knowledge to make a decent Icelandic character. We can only hope.
But, to make this actually-not-so-very-tragic news even more tragic, I'll have to say that after I return from the mighty Iceland, I'll only be here for three days.
You all know that I'm in Scouting. If you don't, you do now. This means, I have to go on camp once a year, at summer vacation. Usually this takes place in the first week of the lower school's vacation, but this time it doesn't. We're going on the National Jamboree, which is super awesome. Programs there differ from knotting to para gliding and every day you're pared up with different people. How awesome is that? Well, I think it is really awesome.
Anyways, the data of the NJ aren't so very good. With trouble my parents had decided to go on vacation this early, because they know how much work I had put in getting our Scouting group to the NJ. You see, the NJ is really expensive. It's about 225 euros per person, and we only have about 125 euros per person per year for the whole year. This means that our weekends and every other sort of action has to be paid from that 125 euros per person. So to go to the NJ, we'd have to work. And work we did. I worked my damn ass off, if I'd get paid myself I'd have earned 400 euros or more. So I worked for other people as well, who were too lazy to work as much as I did.
My brother is in Scouting as well, but his camp data are at the time that we're in Iceland, so he's the sweetest as well since he didn't even complain the slightest bit about it when he heard that we had to go on vacation that early because I wanted to go so badly to the NJ. Sweet brother of mine.
But I'm going off subject. The NJ 2008 lasts exactly 10 days, and it starts three days after I return from Iceland. So the first day, I'll unpack, the second day, I rest and play around a bit, and the third day I'll pack again. (Oh god, I realize now that I might not have enough clothes for both events.. Ah, I'll think of that later)
So yes, folks, I'll be gone for practically 14+3+10=27 days! Which means I return on the 31th of July. But I'll be practically dead that day, so mentally I'll only return maximum 1st of August. Ha.
Are you guys going to miss me? No? Not even if I give you cookies?
